Leslie Ochs specializes in pharmacoepidemiology, population health and pharmacoeconomics. Prior to joining UNE, Dr. Ochs was an Associate Director for Xcenda, Amerisource Bergen Specialty Group, where she provided applied pharmacoeconomics, outcomes research and real-world evidence to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. In addition, Dr. Ochs has multiple years of experience as a clinical pharmacist in adult medicine within the Veteran’s Affairs (VA) Health Care System. She was a member of the VA National Medication Reconciliation Initiative and faculty for the Speaker’s Bureau. She has experiences in other clinical settings that include neuro-intensive care, neurology, pediatrics and neonatal intensive care.

Dr. Ochs has extensive experience designing, implementing, and evaluating large public health programs funded by the National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control, Office of Substance Abuse and Prevention and the Children’s Defense Fund. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy, and both a Master of Science in Public Health and a Doctor of Philosophy in epidemiology and health promotion and education from the University of South Carolina. She received her doctorate of pharmacy from Shenandoah University.
