Julie Kueppers, PhD is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the VP of Clinical Analytics and Advocacy at Alera Group. She consults with self-insured employers on key issues impacting their health plans and contributes to the development of data-driven strategies to improve population health and healthcare cost. She also leads Alera Group’s Clinical Advocacy Team in analyzing healthcare data, translating this data into actionable insights, and advocating for cost-effective, high-quality care.
She received her PhD in Health Science from the University of Rochester and has been funded nationally and regionally for her work on health promotion and disease prevention strategies. Prior to joining Alera Group, she was the Director of Chronic Disease Prevention at an academic medical center and managed a lifestyle medicine clinical practice, employee wellness programs, and a portfolio of grants and projects focused on population health.
As a clinician and researcher, she brings a unique perspective to the field of consulting and is dedicated to improving the quality and value of healthcare.
