Claudio Gualtieri is the Senior Policy Advisor to the Secretary at the Office of Policy and Management (OPM). Gualtieri has more than 15 years of experience in governmental policy making, legislative advocacy and stakeholder engagement across multiple states and at the federal level. He previously worked as a health policy expert at the AARP Public Policy Institute, where he helped lead a national initiative of AARP and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to transform health care and build equitable communities through nursing. Gualtieri also co-authored AARP’s 2020 LTSS State Scorecard, AARP’s marque policy assessment of state long-term services and supports systems across multiple dimensions of performance. As the Advocacy Director for AARP Connecticut, Gualtieri led AARP’s legislative efforts to expand home and community-based care, improve patient access to healthcare and support family caregivers. He is a graduate of Cornell University and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut’s School of Law.
