Claudio W. Gualtieri is an advisor for the Center to Champion Nursing in America (CCNA), an initiative of AARP Foundation, AARP, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. He is responsible for stakeholder engagement and advocacy for the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action, a national initiative of those same organizations to transform health care through nursing and build healthier communities for everyone in America. Claudio supports Campaign outreach to AARP state offices, the Campaign’s state-based Action Coalitions and community partners. Before joining CCNA, Claudio worked for over 12 years at AARP Connecticut, where he planned and executed legislative strategy on health care, long-term support services, and family caregiving. He also led consumer outreach initiatives to help family caregivers find and use local resources and assistance. Claudio earned his bachelor’s degree at Cornell University and a juris doctorate at the UConn School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Connecticut.
