Dr. Johnson is a clinical pharmacist and a general internal medicine team member at the University Hospital in Little Rock since 2004. She serves as the clinical consultant to the Employee Benefits Division for the pharmacy benefit offered to the Arkansas State Employees and Public School Employees. She also serves as a member of the Arkansas Medicaid Drug Review Committee to develop and maintain the preferred drug list. She is a member of the University of Arkansas System Pharmacy Advisory Committee and is a board member for the Arkansas Medicaid Drug Utilization Review Board. Additionally, she serves as a member of the pharmacy advisory committee for a large insurance company that provides pharmacy benefits to self-insured as well as fully-insured members. She teaches evidence-based medicine to Pharm.D. students at the UAMS College of Pharmacy and is the residency program director for the UAMS Managed Care Residency program. Her interests include applying evidence-based medicine to inform drug formulary selection as well as population health policy to establish and maintain access to a sustainable pharmacy benefit.
