Ellie Adair, MPA

Chief Operating Officer

With over 10 years of experience in health care policy and organizational management, Ellie is the Chief Operating Officer at the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review.  In this role, she oversees ICER’s public programs, business operations, and organizational culture. Ellie joined ICER in 2018 and has been serving on the Senior Management Team as Deputy Chief Operating Officer since 2019.

Prior to coming to ICER, Ellie was the Director of Membership for the Network for Excellence in Health Innovation (NEHI), a national health policy think tank working to break down the silos in health care. Previously, she was the Executive Director at the Massachusetts National Organization for Women (Mass NOW), which works to advance intersectional justice for all those who identify as women in Massachusetts.

Ellie received her Master of Public Affairs from Brown University, focusing on economics and health policy, and her BA from the University of Rochester, where she majored in English and Philosophy. She currently lives in Arlington, Massachusetts with her partner and two children. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and debating philosophic frameworks with people who may or may not be interested. As a native of Rochester, NY Ellie is an ardent advocate for the Rochester-based Wegmans Food Market.
