Luke Prettol is the Principal Benefits Strategy Consultant at AT&T, one of the largest self-insured employers in the country, where he leads the strategic design of health and welfare benefits for the company’s active employees and retirees. His work focuses on translating value assessment and clinical evidence into actionable employer benefits strategy—from implementing predictive identification programs for cell and gene therapies to developing value-based contracts with advanced primary care providers. Luke has co-authored peer-reviewed research on advancing value in care pathways and regularly speaks at national forums on employer-driven healthcare innovation, including the National Alliance Annual Forum and convenings hosted by CMS. He participates in multiple cross-disciplinary working groups and initiatives regarding innovative therapies and healthcare policy. As a patient living with Friedreich’s ataxia, Luke brings a rare disease perspective alongside his professional role representing the self-insured employer perspective. He holds a BBA in Human Resource Management from Baylor University and is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist.
