Timothy J. Wilt, MD, MPH, MACP is a Master in the American College of Physicians, member of the ACP Population Health and Medical Sciences Committee and a member of the VA Preventive Medicine Field Advisory Committee. He is also a past member of the US Preventive Services Task Force and immediate past chair of the ACP Clinical Practice Guideline Committee. His expertise is at the intersection of health services research, practice, and policy emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention, detection, and treatment. Dr. Wilt’s work aims to improve health and health care delivery by identifying and implementing evidence-based high-value strategies and reducing low-value health care. He has a primary care practice and provides inpatient and outpatient clinical and scientific teaching to students, residents, fellows, and faculty. He has long-standing funded research programs and serves on national scientific review panels. Additionally, Dr. Wilt is the Co-Director of the Minnesota AHRQ-funded Evidence-based Practice Center, Director of the Minneapolis VA Evidence-based Synthesis Program, Director of the ACP and Director of the Minneapolis Evidence Dissemination Center.
