Serina Herron-Smith, BA

Associate Research Manager

Serina joined ICER in 2018 as a Research Assistant. In 2021, she was promoted to Senior Research Assistant, and in 2022 she was promoted to Associate Research Manager.

Serina graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a degree in Women’s and Gender Studies with a minor in Sociology. During her senior year, she worked as a research assistant at The Center for Social and Demographic Research on Aging. There, she aided researchers in conducting community needs assessments designed to inform communities within the greater Boston area on how to better provide resources for their aging populations, and also developed a research poster on women’s health and access to various contraceptives. In her spare time, Serina enjoys playing a variety of instruments (violin, guitar, and piano)!
